After more than 20 years of wearing monthly contact lenses, I could finally take the step to laser treatment: on the professional advice of Dr. Van Cleynenbreugel, I opted for the ReLEx Smile treatment. Both the preliminary examination and the treatment itself are very personal, with a lot of attention for the patient and detailed information about the treatment.

The treatment itself went very smoothly: at no point did I feel any pain, and Dr. Van Cleynenbreugel provides reassuring information about what was happening. I already had very good vision on the day of the procedure, and the next day I could already see everything. The aftercare visits are also very professional: I never felt like a number, but always a personal patient.

After much hesitation/research, I chose Medifocus. I have not regretted it for a second.

At this point, it has been about a month since I had treatment. My vision was already very good on day 1 and after the weekend I was able to do computer work again perfectly (I think it would already have been possible the day after).
After making my appointment for the preliminary examination I was still rather nervous, but from moment 1 at Medifocus I was immediately reassured. Because they explain everything in advance, you always know ahead of time what will happen. I was immediately convinced and a short week later I was able to go in for treatment.

Additionally, the treatment (ReLEx Smile) itself is completely pain-free, and everything that happens is well explained in advance and during the treatment itself.
Afterwards, I used the drops as prescribed and had no further problems.

Until now I could not have imagined what it was like to be able to live without glasses. In fact, think the hardest part of the whole treatment was getting used to not having to wear glasses anymore. For me it is simply a big luxury now to live without glasses, I feel a lot less dependent. And since I no longer need contact lenses for sports, I save the costs of those as well.

So, I would say it was a super investment in myself! In short: I recommend it to everyone, and Medifocus is simply a good choice!

I was treated at Medifocus in early December with the ReLEx Smile technique. The procedure itself is very easy and you hardly notice it. My distant vision was already perfect after one day (after having had -5 for 15 years): what more could I hope for! My near vision fluctuated every now and then for a month (this is normal after the procedure) but that has completely stabilized and now I can see perfectly both near and far! So, I am very satisfied!

The actual procedure is very brief. Before you even realize it, you're walking out of the operating room with rather good vision already.

I had the ReLEx Smile technique applied in early June. Received a great deal of information in advance, always including contact details for further questions. The risks were also explained - it is and remains surgery - but the risks were not minimized, so I had a realistic picture of the procedure… The technique is not cheap, but the price was always communicated transparently and well in advance.

On the day itself, everything went flawlessly and professionally. I never had any worries during, before or after the treatment, because I always had a contact point where I could call/email. Personally, I only had discomfort for a few hours after the treatment.
Excellent aftercare followed the treatment, and now after 3 months, my vision is 100%.
