Before I decided to have laser eye surgery, I had tremendous doubts. My mom and sister persuaded me to undergo the treatment at the Mediclinic by Dr. Hugo Van Cleynenbreugel. This was because my sister had undergone the same treatment with him. Personally, I was quite fearful about the procedure (because I have very sensitive eyes) but after continued persuasion by my family, I made the decision.

I had tremendous confidence in the doctor starting at the first consultation. The options for optical surgery were explained to me from A to Z with all the necessary details. Dr. Van Cleynenbreugel is a very pleasant and professional doctor! I chose the ReLEx Smile treatment, which I would recommend to anyone with myopia!

On the day of the procedure, I felt terribly stressed, ‘which was indeed pointless, since the treatment itself is an absolute breeze, when I look back on it.’ I was received in a very friendly manner by the doctor and his assistant, who jointly guided me through the process professionally and pleasantly. The treatment itself took a mere 5 to 10 minutes. As far as the treatment itself goes, you actually feel and see nothing. Of course, you notice that something is happening to your eyes, but there is no pain at all!

The treatment aftercare went perfectly. I could already see clearly by that same evening. And that has only improved in the months since then! I cannot remember ever having such clear vision. There is no way this could have been matched by glasses and contact lenses! My vision is absolutely perfect as I write this! (0) My only regret is that I didn't make the decision sooner! And that is why I give Medifocus, Dr. Van Cleynenbreughel and his assistant a well-deserved 5 stars!

At this point, it has been about a month since I had treatment. My vision was already very good on day 1 and after the weekend I was able to do computer work again perfectly (I think it would already have been possible the day after).
After making my appointment for the preliminary examination I was still rather nervous, but from moment 1 at Medifocus I was immediately reassured. Because they explain everything in advance, you always know ahead of time what will happen. I was immediately convinced and a short week later I was able to go in for treatment.

Additionally, the treatment (ReLEx Smile) itself is completely pain-free, and everything that happens is well explained in advance and during the treatment itself.
Afterwards, I used the drops as prescribed and had no further problems.

Until now I could not have imagined what it was like to be able to live without glasses. In fact, think the hardest part of the whole treatment was getting used to not having to wear glasses anymore. For me it is simply a big luxury now to live without glasses, I feel a lot less dependent. And since I no longer need contact lenses for sports, I save the costs of those as well.

So, I would say it was a super investment in myself! In short: I recommend it to everyone, and Medifocus is simply a good choice!
